Mandate of the Somaliland ministry of agricultural development is to develop and implement of agriculture sector policies, rules and regulations, formulating sector development plans, programmers and projects, documentation and registration of agricultural land, agricultural research.

Establishment, management and maintenance of agriculture databases and dissemination to stakeholders, promotion of increased agricultural production, ensuring the country’s food security.
